Not only is this furnace 95% efficient in GAS usage but the blower motor can save you up to 400 dollars per year in ELECTRICAL usage. How? Variable speed technology. Unlike standard multi speed blower motors, the variable speed motor in the Enhanced 95 is designed not just to move air, but to use as much as 50 percent less energy moving that air. With the enhanced 95 you let the blower on your furnace run 24 7. Unlike multi speed motors which run at full speed making your house drafty, as well as using considerable energy, the variable speed blower drops to a lower speed. At this lower speed it gently stirs the air in your home, eliminated hot or cold spots, without drafts, all the while using less energy than a standard light bulb. The enhanced 95 blower starts slowly, ramping up to the required speed for both heating and cooling. As your air filter gets dirty and starts to restrict air flow, the variable speed blower automatically increases speed to maintain constant air volume. Because the variable speed blower is designed to run all the time, at a low speed, it makes your humidifier and air cleaner operate at their maximum efficiency.
