The biggest problem with a furnace is it must keep your home warm during a variety of conditions, not just when it’s biter cold. If it is 20 degrees outside you need more heat than when it is 45, but you have the same furnace. The Advantage 93 provides a solution to this problem with high and low fire! A two stage thermostat, included with your installation, starts the furnace at 65 percent of its total capacity. This allows the furnace to run longer during milder weather, making your house more comfortable without using any more gas. What happens when you need more heat as it gets colder outside? The thermostat tells the advantage 93 to roll into high fire. Now you are getting maximum heating capacity to control your homes temperature during the extremely cold weather. You will discover that with a properly sized Advantage 93 your new furnace will stay in low fire up to 85 percent of the time! An added benefit of the longer run time is its impact on your air cleaner and humidifier. Since it’s running longer your air cleaner is filtering more of the air you breathe and your humidifier has a chance to get more moisture into the air.
